A
Crackhead Giving Birth to the Sun
(First publshed in Aries Literary Magazine) When
every poem smashes through your front door and then a word bounces off
the sun and splashes into your head and now you die as a human being and
you're reborn as a run-on sentence of poetry shooting like thousands of
meteors jumping off the page and now all the words and the planets are
dancing and dancing together and the saxophone squeezes out a river of
red and green and yellow and the sky drips and drips blue into your head
and the sun jumps on a bicycle and finds a word in another galaxy and
everyone is walking around and around in a maze of words and the sky smashes
into you and then your eye shoots through the sun and a smiling centipede
turned into your wife and so thousands of frogs are now jumping in your
mind
